This video is a trailer for the musical and features songs The Circle of Life (one of the most famous songs from the film) and The Reprise. The magnificent costumes and spectacular scenery that emulates the African plains can be seen.
The video below shows some of the cast performing the opening song to the musical, The Circle of Life. Filmed in 2005, the cast performed the song on the BBC for the first time ever on television, for a special feature of Strictly Come Dancing. The performance shows Rafiki singing the lead and was met with a great response from the audience.
The Lion King shows five evenings a week at 7.30pm, from Tuesday to Saturday, with matinees on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 2.30pm. The running-time for the show is 2 hours and 45 minutes including a short interval of fifteen minutes.
